Realtors using WordPress

I’ve been seeing a trend in the last year of Real Estate Agents employing WordPress websites. WordPress in particular is the hotest ticket out there with roughly 60,184,744 websites around the world. It’s steadily growing and to understand why, one needs to know what benefits WordPress provides to real estate professionals. One of the first reasons that Realtors are turning to WordPress is it’s ease of use. WordPress sites are highly customizable and easy for a Realtor to modify and keep up to date without having to spend years learning code. Another great reason to look to WordPress is that it’s search engine friendly. There are thousands and thousands of Realtors in each of our respective areas, making it next to impossible to stand out without good Search Engine Optimization. WordPress has simple plugins that allow for you to have good SEO, depending on the amount of time you want to invest into it (as it’s an ongoing process). In addition to SEO plugins, WordPress has several real estate related plugins that allow you to showcase properties, integrate Google Maps, Zillow, Trulia, School Info, and so much more. It’s as simple as dragging and dropping and presto the plugins are active and you have powerful user friendly site that prospective clients will be drawn to. It’s like going to the app store, there’s more there than you’ll probably ever use!

A really great feature of using WordPress is that you can have your blog and website all in one. That’s a big bonus and the best way to do things in my opinion. The point of a blog is to draw people to your site so having it all in one makes sense. WordPress allows you to do just that. You can own just one domain name and have your main website and your blog under it. This is one stop shopping at it’s finest. It’s also nice to only have to go one place to make revisions to your website or additions to your blog. Odds are, if you used a platform other than WordPress, you’d be relying on someone else to update your content. I could go on and on about how great WordPress is……but I won’t, it’s getting late. Instead I’ll just summarize for you why you should consider WordPress.

  • Ease of use
  • Highly customizable (the best part is by you, because you don’t need to know code)
  • Website and Blog all in one package
  • Thousands of different themes to change the look of your site
  • Search Engine Optimized
  • Plugins almost as plentiful as there apps in the app store
  • Easy Social Media Integration
  • There’s alot more, but as I said it’s getting late and hopefully you get the picture.
